Saskia is adjunct professor Organizational Behavior at INSEAD (Fontainebleau) where she co-directs the Executive Master in Change (EMC) program, working both in Fontainebleau and Singapore. EMC is a two year master program that deeply explores organizational change and leadership from a system-psychodynamic perspective. She is connected to the program from 2017 onwards, and program director since 2022.
She is also a fellow of Phyleon leadership & governance, a consultancy boutique that advises people in leadership and governance roles and assists and coaches boards, executive teams and individual executives and non-executives in their personal leadership development. See www.phyleon.com. She conducts board evaluations, leads board and executive team coachings and mentors executives and non-executives in their roles.
She co-conducts the Phyleon programme Boardwerk is Mensenwerk (Boardwork is Human work), helping non-executives develop their leadership in context.
Saskia has worked with clients stemming from a broad range of sectors including the financial sector, law firms, health care, construction companies, consultancy, universities, higher education institutes, IT, large corporates, packaging industry, and public and not for profit organisations.
After her MSc in Communications and Marketing, Saskia started her career in the corporate world and worked for more than 12 years in various roles with chemical company Akzo Nobel, starting at Head Quarters and thereafter mainly in marketing management roles in the Coatings Division.
She pursued another direction in her working life with obtaining a MSc and a PhD in Clinical Psychology and is a licensed psychotherapist and psychoanalyst. She has worked as faculty with the Clinical Psychology Department of the VU University and co-directed Psychotherapy training programs.
Combining experiences in the corporate world with psychology, Saskia developed a coaching and consulting practice and worked for the Centre for Executive Coaching of the VU University of Amsterdam and several other leadership programmes in the Netherlands.
Saskia is married and lives with her husband in Baarn, The Netherlands.
